The Holidays are coming and it is time to start thinking about how you are going to say thank you to all of your customers. Not everyone says a thank you with a holiday card, but how nice is it to still get something in the mail that is personalized? A lot of things that come in the mail these days are bills, and it is not very often that we get something that shows us how much we are appreciated. Seeing that holiday card lets your customers know that you appreciate their business.
Cards can be done in several different ways. One way is to have them all be the exact same. The artwork can be set up so that the message and the signatures are put in at the time of print and all you have to do is mail them out. The envelopes can be addressed using a mailmerge at the same time as the print of the cards making this a simple process. If that is the case, you are most likely to put your greeting card on a standard 14pt coated 2-sided card stock.
Another option is to want to customize the inside per person. The outside of the card can be printed all the same, but the inside of the card can be left blank and it can be printed on a coated 1 side card so you get that beautiful shine for the picture, but the inside can be handwritten and personalized per person or company that you send it to.
There is also a third option for your greeting cards. They can be completely customized. No company or person is stuck using the standard stocks. If you want your holiday card to stand out from the rest textured papers, or coloured papers are always an option. A standard holiday picture is also not what you have to do. Use a picture that will make your customers or friends look at your card and smile. This is the time of year when you have the opportunity to say thank you and make a true impression in something other than business. There are no rules.
So when you are getting ready to send out your holiday cards explore your options and do what is best for you.
