Myth or Fact...is Paper Making a Large Energy Consumer?

In the past people have said that the factories that make paper are bad for the environment because of the amount of energy that they use. However, most people do not know that the majority of paper mills are actually self sufficient. The fact is that only 1.1% of global carbon dioxide emissions come from paper and print factories.

Most people are unaware of the steps we in the print world have taken to improve our relationship with the ecosystem. So if people give an excuse of “paper is bad for the environment” as a reason not to print materials, we need to let them know that is not the case in most factories.

The entire world is trying to go green…why would the print world not follow?
